The Mission
The Mission Doesn't Stop at Brooklyn
Bashy USA was built in Brooklyn — but the mission was never just local. The Caribbean-American experience is at the center of this brand. The children of Grenada, Barbados, St. Vincent, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, and Guyana who grew up American, who built Brooklyn, who served this country and never stopped repping where they came from. And before the diaspora arrived, Foundational Black Americans built the streets, the sound, and the culture that made all of it possible. The music that pushed this brand crossed every ocean — from London's grime scene to the Afrobeats pulse of Lagos to the record shops of Tokyo. Bashy's reach was always global. This page is a testament to that reach — and to the people, places, and communities that carry his legacy forward.
The Map
Where the Mission Lives
The Origin
Brooklyn, New York
Where it all started. Brooklyn raised Bashy — the borough shaped his sound, his style, and his sense of duty. Every piece in the collection is a letter back home.
American Culture
FBA — Foreign-Born American
Foreign-Born American. The children of the Caribbean and South American diaspora who grew up in the streets of Brooklyn, the Bronx, and beyond — shaped by two worlds, belonging fully to both. This is the culture Bashy USA was built for. American by birth or by choice, rooted everywhere.
The Foundation
Foundational Black Americans
Before the diaspora arrived, FBA — Foundational Black Americans — built the culture. The descendants of enslaved Africans who created jazz, blues, hip-hop, and the streets that shaped Brooklyn. Bashy USA stands on that foundation. This brand honors every Black American who laid the groundwork for the world to follow.
The UK Connection
London
London's Black British music scene — grime, UK garage, dancehall — helped carry the sound that Bashy USA was built on. The UK diaspora kept the culture alive across the Atlantic and pushed the brand's reach beyond American shores.
The African Pulse
Lagos, Nigeria
Lagos is the heartbeat of Afrobeats — a sound that crossed every ocean and found its way into the DNA of this brand. The African diaspora's influence on Black culture globally is undeniable, and Bashy USA recognizes that connection.
The Global Reach
Japan
Japan embraced Black American streetwear and music culture with a depth that few places matched. From Tokyo's Harajuku district to its record shops, Japanese culture helped amplify the sounds and styles that inspired Bashy USA — proof that this mission was always worldwide.
The Roots
Grenada
Grenada runs deep in the Bashy USA bloodline. The island's culture, color, and community are woven into the brand's DNA — from the patterns to the purpose.
The Sound
Jamaica
Jamaica gave the movement its rhythm. Artists like Father Goose and Steelie Bashment — rooted in Jamaican music and culture — helped push Bashy USA and carry the sound across the diaspora.
The Bridge
Florida
Florida has been a hub for Caribbean culture in America — and a key stop for the artists and community members who have kept the Bashy USA movement alive and growing.
The Island Spirit
Barbados
Barbados is part of the Caribbean foundation that shaped this brand. The pride, the culture, and the community of Bajan people are woven into the fabric of the Bashy USA story.
The Vincy Roots
St. Vincent
St. Vincent and the Grenadines runs through the bloodline of this brand. The resilience and spirit of the Vincentian community is a cornerstone of everything Bashy USA represents.
South American Roots
Guyana
Guyana bridges the Caribbean and South America — and the Guyanese community has been part of the Brooklyn diaspora that built this brand from the ground up. The mission belongs to them too.
The Haitian Spirit
Haiti
Haiti is the first Black republic — a nation built on resilience, pride, and the refusal to be defined by anyone else. That spirit lives in this brand. The Haitian community in Brooklyn and beyond is part of the Bashy USA story.
The Caribbean Beat
Trinidad & Tobago
Trinidad and Tobago is the birthplace of Carnival, soca, and steelpan — a culture that moves the world. That energy, that pride, that refusal to be quiet is exactly what Bashy USA stands for.
The Legacy
The World

What We Stand For
The Four Pillars
Brooklyn Born
Brooklyn is where Bashy USA the clothing brand was born. The streets, the culture, the energy of the borough — that is what built this brand from the ground up. Brooklyn didn't just shape the man. It created the clothing. It is the origin of everything.
Caribbean Rooted
Grenada, Jamaica, Barbados, St. Vincent, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana — the Caribbean and South American diaspora is the heartbeat of this brand. The culture, the music, and the community are inseparable from the mission.
Service First
Bashy was a first responder. That identity — duty before self — is the foundation of every collection, every drop, and every dollar that goes back to the community.
Legacy Forward
50% of proceeds support children 21 and younger who lost parents to 9/11-related illnesses. The mission is not just to remember — it is to build something that outlasts all of us.
Bashy Sports
Bashy to the World. The Game He Loved.
From Prospect Park to soccer clubs around the world.
Long before the relaunch, Bashy was already building the next generation. He started a soccer team in Brooklyn and gave his Sundays to it for years — coaching children aged 5 to 10 at Prospect Park, rain or shine, free of charge. No sponsorship. No recognition. Just a man who believed that keeping children busy, giving them something to belong to, and pushing the sport he loved was worth every Sunday he had.
That spirit is the foundation of Bashy Sports — our commitment to continuing what he started. The brand was built to lead, not follow. And nowhere is that more true than in how we show up for the next generation. Children who grow up with purpose, discipline, and community become the leaders the world needs. Bashy knew that. He proved it every week on that field.
Bashy Sports is how we carry that forward — honoring his love of soccer and the clubs, players, and communities that make the game bigger than any one field. From Brooklyn to soccer clubs around the world, the mission is connection, opportunity, and a place for the next generation to belong. The field is still open. The mission is still the same.
Youth First
Children aged 5 to 10. The same ages Bashy coached. The next generation is the mission.
Free Always
Bashy never charged a dollar. Bashy Sports never will. Access to the game should never depend on a family's income.
Rain or Shine
Prospect Park. Every Sunday. No excuses. Consistency is how you build character — in sport and in life.
Brooklyn to the World
It started in Brooklyn. But the mission to push the next generation belongs to every community that carries the Bashy USA name.
